Misa can see any person's full name (and lifespan but don't worry about it in this game 🧍♂️) — an ability she traded half of her lifespan for. If a character is well known by a nick-name, or goes by an alias, she will be able to see their "real name." For example: seeing the name 'Peter Parker' when she looks at 'Spiderman,' knowing the true name of supernatural beings that have an alias, or seeing the real identity of anyone who lies about their name.
She basically needs to be able to see a person's face for this ability to work. Names can be seen from videos and photographs too, but not from a drawing. There are no visual or spiritual cues for her using this power, and it is always "active," without her needing to turn it on, so she can typically use it undetected.
This post is to let people opt-in for this ability! If you're A-OK with Misa having learned your character's real name through using this ability, then go ahead and fill out the form below. Usually, she keeps this ability very secret. However, its use is becoming more convenient in the context of the game, so she will gradually be more forthcoming about her power. I imagine she'll mostly be using it to identify others for strategy and information sharing purposes, though she may also abuse this ability for comedic purposes under certain circumstances - just to freak people out as a little joke. As a treat!
Character Name: Put whatever their "real" name is, and in full (first and last)! This is not really defined in super hard terms in Death Note, but the name should be whatever is considered closest to their "real identity." You can also note here if your character publicly goes by another name.

SO... Sebastian very intentionally does not ever use his actual name (it being "Malphas" is headcanon on my part, since it's never revealed in the series!). Long story short for why, it's very much in line with the tradition in supernatural stuff of a name having power, so he's not going to be thrilled if she knows it. If she seems confused as to why he's not thrilled, he'll at least explain! And could definitely be convinced that it's not as big of a deal in Horos tbf, but by default, it's his most heavily guarded secret, so he would be Concerned.
I leave the decision of whether you want her to open that can of worms period totally up to you, but he wouldn't get actually do anything about it unless she starts telling it to other people! If she wants to, just hit me up so we can talk it out and make sure we're on the same page. OOC I'm totally fine with it but IC it'll make Sebastian quite hostile, essentially... sweats............. sorry
