✟ MISA MISA ✟ ([personal profile] lifespanned) wrote 2022-06-07 02:29 am (UTC)

[ It'd be a lie to say she wasn't surprised that he even called out to her— in her mind, she'd assumed their temporary little truce ended the moment Gen walked out of the bar they'd found Amos in. Not that she really felt particularly relieved or disappointed at that notion— it was just... confusing. All in all, Gen didn't seem like a bad guy, aside from his easily irritable attitude. He helped when she asked him to, and it's not like he left her for dead out there. And she's had time to think about what she saw, too. But, at the same time, it's not like any of that matters in the face of everything else that had happened in Venera. Misa has a habit of sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, bothering people who don't want her to be around. But she's not so stupid to go poking a wasp's nest when she already got stung.

So, yes, she did see him standing there, but she was fully intending to just walk past without bothering him, not at all like how before Venera when she probably would have hung around just to pester him for fun. Reluctantly, she turns back around to face him when he speaks up, already looking lightly bewildered at his question. ]

I mean... kind of?

[ Though her answer seems noncommittal. Sure, she got to talk to him, but she's not sure if everything can really be labelled "talked out." It's complicated - the draw of her shoulders and the slight sigh she lets out convey that completely. For what it's worth, she looks better than she had those several nights previous— done up the way she usually is, lace and silver jewelry, hair tied up. She's just come in from town, after all, so she looks her Sunday best. ]

Why? Did he not show up when you asked him to or something?

[ That has to be what this is about, right? That's the only logical explanation she can think of; Gen wondering if he's the only one who got avoided in the 'talking about Amos's enormous problems' department, or if Misa had similarly gotten shut out. That's the scenario she imagines in her head, anyway. ]
